Coinbase CEO Predict Cryptocurrency Will Recover Soon
Brian Armstrong – Founder and CEO of Coinbase – was very optimistic about the future of crypto in a recent interview.
Speaking at Coinbase’s Q1 2022 earnings call, CEO Brian Armstrong confidently said that crypto will account for 15% of global GDP within the next 20 years.
“In my mind, this [crypto] is a little bit like the early days of the Internet, where you saw the birth of e-commerce in the late ’90s or early 2000s, and now fast forward 20 years, e-commerce, I think, is something like 15% of global GDP. And I think if you fast forward 20 years from here, the crypto economy is going to represent probably a large portion like that, 15% of global GDP.”
Commenting on the downturn of the market, Armstrong said this will greatly affect the psychology of investors. However, he also asserted that cryptocurrencies will soon enter the stage of mass adoption in the near future, just as the Internet approached life and became indispensable in the past.
In the past seven days, the crypto market has experienced many great fluctuations, especially the crashing of LUNA and UST coins, you can follow a summary of the market situation last week in the post below.

Although there have been many fluctuations in the downward direction of the market recently, the belief of the crypto community in a future where crypto is accepted worldwide will be certain and crypto winter won’t last long. Coinbase CEO also affirmed his belief with optimistic comments about Coinbase’s future
“As the industry matures over time, we’re going to be a very profitable company and more consistently profitable. But for now, regardless of whether the market is up or down, we’re going to keep building.”
